Kozulin blames regime for wife's early death

Alexander Kozulin believes it is the "authorities that pushed (his wife) Iryna towards the final line" by illegally arressting him and convicting as a presidential hopeful in 2006.
“Alexander Lukashenka knew very well that she had been ill back theh", says Kozulin. In his view, having ended up without him Iryna "lost the strength that she needed in order to fight the disease”.

The last drop was the bargaining which Lukashenka mentioned about one week ago in Vitsebsk. It was reported that the release of Kozulin was traded for his and her self-emposed exile abroad.

“Even if I asked tons of gold, they would give it to me only to push me out of Belarus, believes Kozulin. Alexander and Iryna could agree to these terms. The payment is that they will never see each other again.

“I have my heart broken when I think about all this", says Kozulin.
