Klichko: Yanukovich to meet Merkel in Vilnius
Leader of the Ukrainian opposition party UDAR Vitali Klichko has claimed it a press conference in Vilnius today.
Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovich will meet German chancellor Angela Merkel in Vilnius on November 29, he claimed. Issues connected with signing the association agreement with the EU will be discussed at their meeting.
The pressure exercised by the Ukrainian people who joined the action in support of the European integration will be decisive for the possibility to sign the agreement, Vitali Klichko noted. The Ukrainian government decided to refuse from signing the agreement at the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius earlier.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian President’s press service has no information about Yanukovich’s plans to meet Merkel.
