KGB is still searching the apartment of Iryna Khalip and Andrei Sannikau.

Uladzimir Khalip noted the government apparently aims to wipe the opposition out. "After the 'immacuable' provocation in Independence Square on December 19 in Minsk, the authorities are are mopping up the Belarusian civil society to make it silent. Pro-democracy activists will face various measures of violence: detentions, arrests, intimidation as well as attempts to break people psychologically and morally. The authorities aim to leave only decorative rather than democratic non-governmental organizations", said Uladzimir Khalip.
