Karatkevich’s picketers collect 50 signatures in 3 hours

The first signature collectors’ pickets appeared in Minsk on the morning of July 23. Signatures for Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Tatstsyana Karatkevich were being collected near the supermarket Centralny and for Anatol Lyabedzka – near GUM.

“People are signing. We have been here since 9 a.m. and we have already collected 50 signatures by 12 p.m.,” Karatkevich’s picketer said.

Anatol Lyabedzka’s picket appeared later but the candidate himself was among the picketers. “We have been here since not long ago and we have not collected many signatures. But people are active. Everything is fine. Only one woman came up to us at first and called all of us Paznyaks. Everything else is okay,” UCP picket participant said.

Participants of Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s picket would not reveal the number of collected signatures: “This is a secret, we cannot tell you.” However, most people were noticed near Lukashenka’s picket. There were even short queues.
