An inhabitant of the village of Smalyany, Orsha District, sold her daughter for 200 dollars.
The girl was born in 1995 and was sold to a Russian woman 6 or 8 years ago but it has become known recently.
A criminal case for “human traffic” has been started against the woman. The mother may be imprisoned for up to 10 years and her property may be confiscated. Investigators are looking for the girl and are trying to establish the buyer’s identity now.
