IMF mission leaves Belarus but promises to return in December

The Belarusian authorities will continue consultations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) about the allocation of a stand-by credit in December.
“Interfax” reports that the first stage of the work of the government and the National Bank with the IMF mission that had arrived in Minsk on October 27, 2008 has finished successfully. They worked on the agreement on the allocation of a 2-billion dollar credit to our country.

Technical issues are expected to be discussed in December when the IMF mission arrives in Belarus again.
