Hrodna dwellers report “reconstructors” of Old Town to Office of Public Prosecutor

Hrodna dwellers have sent a complaint about the actions of the local authorities during the “reconstruction” of the Old Town to the Regional Office of Public Prosecutor. Our Hrodna reporter Zmitser Tsvikevich comes up with details:
The complaint consists of 9 clauses that are a “direct violation of the law” according to the public. The appeal mentions the violation of the law on preserving the historical and cultural legacy and wasting budget money.

At the same time, one of the organizers of the appeal Pavel Mazheika notes that each of the clauses can be proved by documents for the Ministry of Culture, Architecture and the republican institute “Horbudaunitstva” simply pointing at violations performed by Hrodna authorities during the reconstruction.

800 inhabitants of Hrodna signed the appeal.
