House of Representatives refuses to recognise Abkhazia and South Ossetia

The Parliament never had a task to solve the issue of recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The Deputy of the House of Representative Siarhej Maskevich told the journalists about it on November 11.
According to his words reported by BelaPAN, the deputies simply studied this issue without taking decisions even of a recommendatory character. According to Maskevich, this issue is in the competence of the head of the State: corresponding authorisations are prescribed in the Constitution.

"The deputies have presented their reports to the President after they visited Abkhazia, Ossetia and Georgia, so now the President will take a decision," - added the deputy. Previously, it was stated this issue would be solved by the House of Representatives.
