Head of European Parliament demands to release Alyaksandr Kazulin

The head of the European Parliament Hans-Gert Pöttering made a harsh statement addressed to the Belarusian authorities during “the Belarusian week” dated for the 90th anniversary of the BPR.
The head of the European Parliament claimed that negotiations with the official Minsk were impossible without the release of Alyaksandr Kazulin.

The head of the Commission on International Affaires Benita Ferrero-Waldner claimed that the fact that the agreement on opening a representative office of the European Commission in Minsk was not cooperation with the Belarusian government.

She claimed that it was the first step towards the Belarusian government, however, Europe’s terms had not changed.  Ms. Ferrero-Waldner refuted information about the West liberalizing its relations with Alyaksandr Lukashenka, reports Cherter-97 referring to “Polish Radio”.
