Frank Viachorka facing administrative charges

Authorities have opened an administrative case against Frank Viachorka, the activist with the opposition Party of the Belarusian Popular Front. Belarusian Popular Front Party wrote that on July 9 Viachorka was summoned to the office of the Sovietski district administration in the capital Minsk, where he was presented with a protocol on administrative prosecution.

The protocol said that "Viachorka was seen around noon on June 9 on the Sovietskaya Street in the city of Hrodna, dissiminating stickers in unauthorized areas".

The Populae Front activist is charged with violating public order. This is an offense that is subject to administrative prosecution, under Article 21 (14) in the Administrative Code.
