Fake Facebook accounts report attack on Svetlana Alexievich

Reports about an attack on Svetlana Alexievich written on her behalf have appeared in Twitter micro blogs. The Belarusian authorities are blamed for the attack.

Alexievich does not have an account on Twitter. She has a Facebook account but she does not post anything there. The writer’s Russian publisher does not know anything about Alexievich’s accounts in social networks either.

Alexievich will make her Nobel Prize speech in Stockholm today. It will begin at the Swedish Academy at 7.30 p.m. FET.
