Minsk restaurants announce extra charges for world championship period
Extra charges will not exceed 250% for first-class restaurants during the World Ice Hockey Championship in Belarus capital in May 2014.
The limit of extra charges will be 200% for restaurants of the higher category, 150% - first category, 1000% - second category and 50% - for the third category, onliner.by reports.
There is also a city contest for the title of the best restaurant of the World Hockey Championship. Weeks of Belarusian Cuisine have been organized twice to make Belarusian dishes more popular. A list of the most popular dishes has been created and the dishes will be recommended for hockey championship menus.
Meanwhile, Minsk still lacks cafes, restaurants and pubs, specialists say. The increase of the public catering network was only 8% in five years.
