They gathered in Wenceslas Square at 12 p.m. The action started with signing the national anthem of Ukraine. Many flags were seen there – Ukrainian, EU, and political parties’ flags.

The Euromaidan is also being held in Brno and Karlovy Vary, Mihail, one of the action organizers, told Euroradio. People are worried about Yanukovich’s visit to Moscow appointed for December 17, he said.

Actions in support of Euromaidan have been held in Prague since the end of November. However, they are rarely held near the Ukrainian Embassy as it makes no sense. A representative of the Embassy went out and accepted the protesters’ petition only on the first day. No one was seen there afterwards, Mihail said.

Not only Ukrainians are taking part in Prague Euromaidan. The Georgian flag was raised at the action on Sunday. There are Belarusians too. Representatives of the Czech authorities and numerous Czech civil associations and ordinary citizens are also participating in the meetings.
