Entrepreneurs from Salihorsk backed by State Control Committee

Entrepreneurs from Salihorsk have received backing from the National State Control Committee when a delegation of vendors recently visited Minsk to complain against the administrations of trade centers in Salihorsk.  The entrepreneurs maintain that the market place administrations, covered by the local authorities, raised illegally the rental fees for a trading spot up to Euro 7 per sq.m. The measure was not justified, in the view of the entrepreneurs who refused to sign new rental contracts and filed complaints with the State Control Committee, the Office of the President and the Office of Prosecutor General. Meanwhile, administrations of trade centers have started putting pressure on entrepreneurs, threatening to switch off power supplies.

According to members of the deleation that visited the State Control Committee in Minsk, the governmental agency confirmed that the actions of the market administration were illegitimate and promised to make an inquiry into this matter, reports Bulletin Online.
