Entrepreneurs plan to conduct mass meeting at Kastrychnitskaya Square
Activists of entrepreneurs’ movements have sent an appeal to Minsk City Executive Committee and asked to allow them to organize a republican meeting of protest on December 10. The leader of the civil association “Coordinating council of entrepreneurs of Belarus” Alyaksandr Makayeu informed ERB about it.
“The authorities are trying to get rid of entrepreneurs as a class. It is a political decision. The authorities have been trying to make it impossible for entrepreneurs to do business. The main thing for us is solidarity”.
The meeting’s participants are going to protest against the decree forbidding entrepreneurs to hire employees except for their close relatives.
The limitation of the number of employees (up to 3 people) remains. Otherwise, entrepreneurs will have to register as private unitary enterprises. Today is the last day when entrepreneurs can register as unitary enterprises on preferential terms.
