Minsk Public Prosecutor’s Office has started a criminal case for disrespect for the monument in memory of heroic defenders of Fatherland (part 2 of article 346 of the Criminal Code – disrespect for historical and cultural values).

A group of drunk people (some of them had previous convictions) were passing the Officers’ House a few days ago and ‘behaved in an inacceptable way in a public place’: one of the men climbed the pedestal of the tank while another one peed on it. They were accompanied by two women who filmed the incident.

The group were detained by the riot police and taken to Central District Department of the Interior. The offenders are facing up to 3 years of imprisonment now, TUT.by reports.
