Delegation of Russian Ministry of Energy arrives in Minsk

A delegation of the Russian Ministry of Energy will conduct consultations with Belarus on December 22 and 23. They will concern the preparation of the Russian-Belarusian cooperation programme in the field of energy. The Belarusian deputy Minister of Energy Mihail Mihadzyuk has informed BelTA about it. The Russian delegation will be headed by the deputy Minister of Energy Anatolii Yanovskii.

According to the Belarusian official, some issues of cooperation in the sphere of gas, electricity and oil have not been settled yet. They will continue being discussed in “Beltransgaz”, “Belenergo” and “Belnaftahim” concern.

Let us remind you that Belarus and Russia are planning to sign a joint programme of cooperation in the oil and energy field in February 2010. The vice Prime Minister of Belarus Uladzimir Syamahska informed about it on December 11. Heads of the two states ordered to elaborate such a programme a bit earlier. It is ready and has been approved. It had been planned to be signed on December 10 at a meeting of the Supreme Council, however, some unsettled issues remained there, claimed Ulazdimir Syamashka.
