Dashkevich seeks to register Malady Front, to support Milinkevich

Zmitser Dashkevich, a youth opposition leader who yesterday was released after having spent 16 months in prison, gathered a news conference in Minsk Thursday. The former politicial prisoner narrated about the conditions in the colony and his plans for the future.
Dashkevich noted that he will make yet another try to register the Malady Front, a youth pressure group that was recently registered in the Czech Republic as an international organization. He also voiced support to Alexander Milinkevich. The Malady Front will team up with Milinkevich-led For Freedom! movement.

Paval Sevyarynets joked during the press conference that "we will seek compensation from the state for the four extra months that Dashkevich spent behind bars".

Zmitser Dashkevich was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison for taking part in an unregistered organization. But the Supreme Court of Beelarus recently reduced his term to one year. As a result, the youth leader spent 4 extra months in a colony.
