Czechia supports new US missile defense system

Czechia has expressed its desire to take part in the new US missile defense plan (MD). This is the result of the visit of American vice President Joe Biden to Czechia. The terms of Czechia’s participation in the MD will be discussed in November. Biden noted that the missile system SM-3 “would protect Europe and Czechia more efficiently” than the defense initiative suggested by the previous President George Bush. Barack Obama’s administration has declined that initiative.

Let us remind you that the Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that Warsaw was ready to take part in the new missile defense plan on October 21. Romania and the administration of NATO backed the plan a bit earlier.
