Complaint of Andrei Budyka sentenced to death registered in UN

A human rights activist Raman Kislyak has informed BelaPAN that the information about the complaint registration and its copy have been sent to the UN representative office in Belarus and Geneva.

According to the procedure, the Human Rights Committee has asked the state not to fulfill Budyka’s sentence until the complaint is considered to the point.

The human rights activist said that the complaint sent to the committee on December 17 informs about the violations of human rights committed against Budyka during the investigation and the hearing. In particular, torture is mentioned as a means of self-incrimination.

Andrei Budyka and Aleh Hryshkautsou stood trial for several murders and kidnapping.
