Communists in St Petersburg vow support to defend Lukashenka

Communists in the Russian city of St Petersburg are expected to stage a picket in front of the local branch of Gazprom-owned NTV channel against what they describe as provocative films about Lukashenka, reports mr7.ru. According to Andrei Orlov who coordinates the picket, ordinary members of the Communist Party came up with the idea of a picket. Orlov noted he does not understand why NTV makes films about Lukashenka. He says NTV could have made a film about any of Russian officials -- not in two parts but at least in five parts.

The picket titled "In Defense of Lukashenka against Slander" will also be attended by activists of the Russia-Belarus brotherhood.
