Collection of signatures for presidential contenders finished
Electoral campaign's stage of collecting signatures is finished. 11 politicians have crossed the 100 thousand signatures barrier necessary for registration. The first contender to have collected the necessary quantity of signatures was Aliaksandr Lukashenka. Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu, Jaraslau Ramanchuk, Andrej Sannikau and Viktar Tsiareshchanka informed about their success in this regard last week.
4 more contenders informed they had crossed this barrier on October 25 — Ales Mikhalevich, Mikalaj Statkevich, Ryhor Kastusyou and Dzmitry Us. Uladzimir Pravalski reported he had collected 100 thousand signatures on October 26.
Vital Rymasheuski informed he had collected the necessary signatures today.
According to Belarusian legislation, territorial election commissions are supposed to check the validity of submitted signatures withn 10 days. Registration of presidential contenders is to take place since November 14 till November 23.
