“Charnobylskі shlyah” starting near Academy of Sciences
About 2.5 thousand people gathered for the traditional manifestation “Charnobylskі shlyah” near the building of the Academy of Sciences. Alyaksandr Milinkevich was noticed among them.
Let us remind you that Minsk City Executive Committee allowed the manifestation to start near the Academy of Sciences and move along Surganava Street towards Bangalor Square. In spite of it people tried to gather at Yakub Kolas Square. But it was blocked by special police troops several hours before the beginning of the manifestation.
Adjacent shops and cafes were closed and parking lots were blocked. According to unofficial sources, drivers were made to take their cars from parking places near Yakub Kolas Square. If it was impossible to find the owners, cars were simply evacuated by the police. At the moment the police are urging people to disperse.
It is said that some audio devices have been confiscated by the police. The column is going to move towards the Chernobyl Chapel situated near the park close to Bangalor Square.
