Celebration of 20th anniversary of BNF is allowed in Brest (photo)

The anniversary of BNF was celebrated in “Progress” club in Brest on Saturday, November 22. The party suddenly got permission to rent a hall and 50 members of the organization arrived there from the regional centre and the region.
To tell you the truth, not all the invited guests arrived. The participants were congratulated by their coalition partners from the United Civil party, Belarusian Social-Democratic Party (Hramada) and the Belarusian Communist Party. No representatives of Paznyak’s CCP-BNF were noticed there.

Yuras Hadyka arrived from Minsk and assured that the party’s survival in the situation of dictatorship was extremely important. “We should not impose risky decisions on people even if they come from our foreign well-wishers who often fail to keep their word. We need to create the culture of political discussions. The Front will finally stop working for some other people and is going to present its own candidate during the presidential election campaign in 2011”, - noted Mr. Hadyka.

The idea was opposed by the deputy head of BNF Party Yuras Hubarevich who was the head of Brest BNF affiliate for several years. He and the majority of young members of Brest BNF would like to repeat the scenario of 2006 and support non-party Alyaksandr Milinkevich.

An exposition of historical photos attached to the walls was open during the meeting.

The flag and the motto urging to join BNF on the way to the renaissance fell off the walls by the end of the festive ceremony. However, the photos stayed in place by the time Zmitser Bartosik finished singing.
