Catapult used in Kiev at night (photo report)

The first catapult in Grushevski Street was destroyed by Berkut during their attack on the barricades. However, protesters were not satisfied with their first catapult and wanted to improve it.

Another catapult was built in Grushevski Street in Kiev. “It is a really huge slingshot,” blogger Ilya Varlamov wrote. It was tested quickly and can be used by protesters now. Its crew consists of 6 people. Three of them load it, two people are holding the whole construction and one more person brings the ammunition, Varlamau said.

“Shells” are thrown far into the dark. Molotov cocktails are being made nearby. All the bottles contain pure gas or petrol.
