Byalyatskі: The authorities conduct a wide-scale campaign to discredit human rights activists

The Belarusian authorities are conducting a wide-scale campaign to discredit the work of human rights activists in the country and exercise pressure on them. The announcement was made by the vice President of the International Human Rights Federation Ales Byalyatski in his interview with BelaPAN.
The human rights activist has urged the Belarusian authorities to stick to the terms of the UN Declaration on human rights activists the country signed 10 years ago.

According to Ales Byalyatski, the attention of the international community to the situation in Belarus is not decreasing and the government is being reminded about human rights violations in the country. “Belarus should know what to do to establish good relations with the European Union”, - said Byalyatski.
