Bush in Prague to get Czech approval for missile defense radar

US President George Bush is in Prague to discuss the Czech leadership his plans to deploy some elements of the National Missile Defense system. The Czeck Republic seeks to abolish US visas for the Czech citizens. After talking at the Democracy and Security international conference, the US President is to head to Germany, which hosts the G8 Summit. Bush is widely expected to criticize Russia.

The Czech Republic introduced unprecedented security measures, with thousands of secret service agents working on the ground and jet fighters patrolling the country's skies. Protests against the deployment of the American radar took place in front of the US Embassy in Prague ahead of Bush's visit.
