Britain commemorates “gone generation” on 11th day at 11 a.m.

The world has commemorated the people who died during the First World War. November 11 is the 91st anniversary of its end.
The whole Britain headed by Queen Elizabeth II commemorated “the gone generation” with a minute’s silence on the 11th day of the 11th month at 11 o’clock. The last three participants of the war called “Great” in Europe died this year. A service was celebrated for them at Westminster Abbey.

109-year-old Bill Stone died in January and 113-year-old Henry Allingham and 111-year-old Harry Patch – in July. Similar ceremonies took place in France and Germany, reports euronews.net.
