Belarus's Interior Minister in Geneva despite EU travel ban

Belarus's Interior Minister Uladzimir Navomau, banned by the EU authorities from traveling to EU member states, is in Geneva to take part in the 94th session of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Council.  Navumau is expected to inform the IOM member states about the opening in Minsk of an international center for advance training in the field of migration and fighting the trafficking in people, reports Interfax.

The Belarusian minister is scheduled to meet with ION Director General Brunson McKinley to dociss the prospects of further cooperation and the implementation of of joint projects in Belarus. 

The session will last through November 30.
