Belarusian Helsinki Committee saw several positive moments during election campaign

The Belarusian Helsinki Committee has pointed for the first time over the past several years a number of positive moments during the parliamentary elections in Belarus, group chairman Aleh Hulak told reporters in Minsk on Monday. He described as positive that most of the opposition candidates were not hampered to disseminate their campaign materials. It was also an improvement that the action on September 28 was not dispersed by the authorities.

At the same time, Hulak noted several negative moments. He said the vote count was not quite transparent, and there was a forced advance voting. BHC chairman added that he could not denounce the official results of the polls but had not grounds to trust election commissions.
