Belarusian authorities to sell ‘family silver’

The State Property Committee announced the sale of shares in auctions and at contests. There are over 80 enterprises including some ‘family silver’ of the national economy, Yezhednevnik reports.

 The shares of about 50 enterprises are going to be sold. Ivatsevichydreu, Vitsebskdreu, Vitsebsk instrument making plant, Byarozatara and others are among them.

 The shares of 33 enterprises will be sold after a contest – including Mazyr oil-processing plant, Horizont and BATE – leading company of Avtokomponenty. The authorities are ready to sell the whole Mazyr oil-processing plant share package of 42.76%. The cost of the package was 4 677 462 million roubles as of January 1, 2013. The rest of the plant’s shares belong to Gazprom Neft and Rosneft.

All applications will be considered by the State Property Committee. It will present the offers to the President and he will make the final decision.
