Belarus invited to EU conference

Belarus has been invited to attend as an observer the conference on EU's Neighborhood Policy. The first session will take place next Monday at the European Commission with participation of the EU's Neighborhood Policy member states. Belarus will be represented by Vice Prime Minister Uladzimir Siamashka, EU Commissioner for External Relations Benita Ferrero-Waldner said yesterday.

Different from other EU neighbors, Belarus does not participate in this program, which unites over a dozen of countries from Algeria and Morocco to Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan. Apart from Belarus, Syria and Lybia will attend as observers as well, reports euro.pap.pl
