Belarus introduces mandatory medical checks

The Belarus's health minister has approved a resolution, ordering the citizens to undergo a mandatory medical check-up, reports ONT.
Those who have not showed up at the office of their local physician for over two years, will be called from the clinic and proposed to take use of the right to a free medical check-up. In order to avoid congestion and queues, part of preventive examinations will be carried out by nurses with a higher education.

The health officials hope that the measure will help get a clear picture with the population's health after one year. This is designed to help focus on prevention, not treatment of diseases, the health ministry said.
