Belarus' gold reserve grows by 500 kilos in half a year
On July 1, it was 33,8 tons. The National Bank plans to increase the golden reserve despite the downtrend at the world gold market.
According to the National Bank, the golden reserves were increased through the purchasing of precious metals from the Finance Ministry, and through the processing of sub-standard bullions into the bank standard bullions, which were credited to metal accounts, BelTA informs with a reference to a source in the National Bank.
The golden reserve of the National Bank of Belarus is measured in tons and consists of gold (91,5%), silver, platinum and palladium.
