Belarus to fight bird flu with chemical waste

Researchers in Minsk have proposed a means of bird flu prevention using galvanic waste produced by Belarusian chemicals plants, reports Minsk News agency.

In order to eliminate the threat of bird flu epidemic, it is only necessary to fumigate the poultry factories with the chemical waste. This ensures protection from bacteria and viruses, including the bird flue, for the period of two weeks.

This original invention is authored by scientists from the Instiute of Physical and Chemical Research at the Belarus State University. Health officials from India, China and Vietnam have already expressed interest in this technology.
