Belarus to conduct negotiations about gas price in 2009 and 2010 in Moscow
Belarusian representatives will continue negotiations about the price for gas for our country in 2009 and 2010 in Moscow on Wednesday. The agency PRAIM-TASS informs about it referring to a source in the Russian government.
A Belarusian delegation headed by the Minister of Economy Mikalai Zaichanka left for Moscow to conduct the negotiations. Let us remind you that, according to the 5-year contract signed on January 31, 2006, the gas price for Belarus will be decided according to the formula of the price of oil products in Europe in 2008.
The price should be 67% of the average European price this year, 80% - in 2009 and 90% - in 2010. The price for gas in Belarus is 119 dollars per a thousand cubic metres in the first half of 2008.
