Baranavichy bank attack suspect arrested in Minsk

The man was detained in the evening of June 12 and brought to a police detention facility in Baranavichy. He is a foreigner, but the police officials have not revealed his nationality or his age.
On June 10 at 2p.m., an unknown man in a mask entered a bank branch building in Baranavichy. He was armed with a knife and a gun and demanded to give him the money and open the safe. When bank workers refused, the criminal began beating them. There were no visitors at the time of the attack.

Investigators believe that the criminal fled the building after having realized that one of the tellers pushed the alarm button. On his way out, he threw away his mask, a gas spray and a toy pistol.
