Back-to-school events across Belarus
Numerous schools across Belarus are today holding celebrations to mark the begining of a new study year.
Parents and children will meet today teachers in traditional open-doors events. On September 1 Belarus will mark the Day of Knowledge titled this year "I am proud to live in Belarus".
The Ministry of Education says that over 90,000 first-graders will go to school this year. The total number of Belarusian pupils will reach nearly 1,156,000, reports Belapan.
