Architectural monument of world-wide importance is demolished in the centre of Minsk
An architectural monument of world-wide importance, a 19th-century classicism building with elements of eclecticism in Revalutsyinaya Street, 17 has been demolished in the historical centre of Minsk.
The head of “The Belarusian voluntary association on protection of historic and cultural monuments” Anton Astapovich informed about it. According to him, the two-storey building with an ornate front was on the State list of historical and cultural values of Belarus.
It had been restored till recently and the process was in its final stage. However, the building was demolished by builders during several days. An administrative building is planned to be built in the place of the historic monument.
