Aleh Hulak: There will be no radical changes in BHC

Aleh Hulak has become head of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee. He replaced Tatstsyana Protska who has been the head of the BHC since it was founded in 1995.
Aleh Hulag gave an interview to ERB and said that there would be no radial changes in the activities of the biggest human rights defending organization:

"Of course, working conditions are changing. We are also changing our activities, their form and direction. There will be some corrections. However, the organization’s name is the Belarusian Helsinki Committee and it will work as the Belarusian Helsinki Committee”.

Hulak says that many young people have joined the organization and the administration is trying to use their energy and ideas.

Let us note that Aleh Hulak has been working with the BHC for 10 years and has often fulfilled the duties of its head. Tatstsyana Protska will remain a member of the human rights defending organization after she leaves the post of the head of the Helsinki Committee.
