Accident cuts off water supplies to 2000 people in Bykhau

Water supplies were cut off due to an accident at a local collector in Bykhau, Mahilyou region. Repair works have been under way for two days, while local residents receive water from mobile tanks and the only water pump. The collector of the centralized sewage treatment system was commissioned as far back as in 1973. But experts say the communications' age has nothing to do with the accident. Underground waters pressed the soil and the collector sagged. The central part of the town with over 2000 residents was cut off from water supplies.
