423 out of 455 initiative groups are registered

423 initiative groups needed to present deputy contenders have been registered in Belarus. 23 people have been refused and 8 appeals have been withdrawn. One appeal was sent later than the indicated deadline and was not considered.

There were 455 appeals for registration of initiative groups. The secretary of the Central Election Commission Mikalai Lazavik informed ERB about it. He noted that there were 113 representatives of political parties among the registered.

“We have registered 1 representative of the Agrarian Party, 1 representative of the Belarusian Patriotic Party, 16 – of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada), 19 – of the Communist Party of Belarus, 27 – of the United Civil Party, 9 representatives of the Belarusian Social Democratic Hramada, 21 representatives of BNF, 18 representatives of the Belarusian Communist Party and 1 representative of the Republican Party of Labour and Justice”.

The head of the Central Election Commission noted that 5 people had lodged complaints about the decisions of district election commissions to refuse them. They will be considered during a meeting of the CEC on July 31.
