280 Russian KamAZes deliver humanitarian aid to Ukraine

The details of this humanitarian mission have been approved by the Ukrainian administration, Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov claimed.

The International Committee of the Red Cross agreed to take part in the humanitarian operation but asked Russia to present details of the humanitarian assistance to the eastern regions of Ukraine. It is necessary to be aware of all the details before the humanitarian operation starts, the organization claimed.

Military men will not take part in the delivery of Russian humanitarian aid to Ukraine, Russian President’s press secretary Dmitri Peskov stressed earlier.

Russian President Vladimir Putin informed President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso about the so-called ‘humanitarian convoy’. In his turn, Barroso warned Putin against military operations disguised as humanitarian aid in Ukraine.
