20 journalists warned by Office of Public Prosecutor
Journalists, politicians and human rights activists have discussed the situation of the media at a round-table discussion in Minsk. The head of the Belarusian Association of Journalists Zhanna Litvina has noted that independent editions are being excluded from the state distribution system and attempts to register new mass media by politically active people are unsuccessful. 20 journalists have been warned by the Office of the Public Prosecutor for working for foreign mass media without accreditation lately, reports Radio “Liberty”.
