14:31 Estonian reformists win elections

The center-right Party of Reforms led by the Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansipa won a majority seat at this Baltic state's parliment during the national elections last Sunday. The Party of Reforms took 31 seats out of the total 101 mandates in the parliament.


The center-left Party Center obtained 29 seats.


Their third partner in the coalition -- The Estonian People's Union won 16 seats.


It is the first time since the country got independence in 199, when a government-led coalition claimed victory in the national elections.


A total of 11 political parties, who nominated 975 candidates, took part in the vote.
