10:50 March 15 - Belarusian Constitution Day
Today is our country’s Constitution Day. The Supreme Court of the 12th convocation adopted the constitutional charter of the Republic of Belarus on March 15, 1994.
It was created according to the peculiarities of the development of our society and historical traditions taking into account the experience of such states as Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, USA, France and Sweden.
Let us remind you that amendments to the Constitution were made as a result of referenda of 1996 and 2005. The amendments gave a lot of credentials to the executive power. Their results are not recognized by the democratic society and Western countries.
