1000 people to select single candidate for 2015 presidential poll
Nearly 1000 people will take part in a congress to select a single opposition presidential candidate for the 2015 election.
Euroradio reported earliler today that on November 17 give opposition political parties and movements signed a deal agreeing to a procedure to nominate a single opposition presidential candidate to run for presidency in 2015: Social Democratic Party, Movement for Freedom, Speak the Truth! campaign, Belarusian Popular Front and the organizing committee of Belarusian Christian Democracy.
The politicians agreed that 10 percent of members from each party would take part in the selection process. Besides, there will be some 50 VIP-delegates representing intelectuals. A total of nearly 1000 people will take part in the congress of pro-democracy forces.
