Zmicier Dashkevich’s preventive supervision cancelled

Minsk's Pershamaiski District Court made the decision on September 10.

Dashkevich feels relieved now, yet he knows that he may still be watched even if he is not going to do anything at all, he told BelaPAN.

The politician is not going to refuse from his views and civil activities. He is going to present his book of collected prison stories Worm in different cities soon.

Zmitser Dashkevich was detained on December 18, 2010 – a day before the presidential election.  He and another Young Front member Edward Lobau were accused of beating two citizens. Human rights activists announced the young men to be political prisoners. Dashkevich spent 986 days in prison. He was released at the end of August, 2013 and was under preventive supervision until now.
