Young Lukashenka’s photo appears on Internet
The informal photo was taken in the 1970s.
The picture was probably made in Mahilyou Province between 1972 and 1975. It shows a students’ construction gang, Salidarnast reports. Alyaksandr Lukashenka is in the top row (the first on the right).
The photograph was presented by a Mahilyou Pedagogical Institute graduate’s son. The graduate is also in the photo. They studied in different faculties (the future President graduated from the faculty of history) and got acquainted one summer.
According to the owner of the photo, young Alyaksandr Lukashenka was very ambitious and his lust for power was noticeable even in ordinary situations. He almost cried when he was dismissed from some position in the students’ construction gang.
