Hrodna participants of the world bicycle movement have closed the season of mass rides. Their last action for this year has taken place on October 29. 60 people have ridden round the city in an organized column. The bicycle ride started from the very center of the city - Savetskaya Square. The cyclists wearing bright-coloured shirts made a huge circle through the Old and New Bridges, holding torches and flags. This is the way the supporters of the environmentally friendly sport has tried to draw the attention of the society and the authorities to inadaptability of Hrodna roads for a long time already.
“We would like to see more understanding from the society that bicycle is a rather convenient means of transport, in some case even irreplaceable, in the modern city. Problems occur because some people fail to understand that, starting from car owners ending with the city authorities and pedestrians”, — says the "Critical Mass" volunteer Aliaksandr.
